Transition means a process of change. This next year churches will experience changes, positive changes, at an accelerated rate. Transition is the phase between receiving the promise from God to the actualization of that promise in the natural. The process takes time but towards the end as the realization comes closer there is a sense of acceleration and a feeling that I might not be able to keep up to it all. Essentially a feeling of ‘I am going to be overwhelmed by the goodness of God’ is happening.
There is a term associated with skydiving called ‘ground rush’. It means an optical illusion that the ground is abruptly rushing up to meet you, which occurs if you free fall past your usual altitude for opening the parachute. At this moment in time I believe that the church is starting to experience this sensation as we enter into the final stages of God bringing to pass that which we have heard and longed for. We will see a turning in our situations that will now look like a ‘suddenly of God’. To those who have not carried and prayed it through it will seem like suddenly everything changed.
This period of ‘ground rush’ in transition will be the time of the greatest battles. It will be a time for leaders to step up and not to waver or grow faint. This is an opportunity for leaders to shine and bring the church into victory and a harvest.
Leaders in the church are made for battle. We are not really needed in times of peace. But when things become crucial, when the enemy is marching on the land, when he blusters and threatens, this is the time for church leaders to go out in the anointing that God has placed upon them.
There are 5 things that leaders need to be aware of during this time so that the fullness of the harvest is maximized. The next blogs will expound on these.
