Psalm 147:3 “He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.”
The healing power of God surpasses human knowledge and understanding. God makes a way where there is no way. His power is displayed with the purpose of bringing heaven to earth. When Jesus came to earth it was to destroy the works of the evil one. He did that on the cross by surrendering His life for ours.
Isaiah 53:4-5 says that he took our pain and bore our suffering...and by His wounds we are healed. Jesus took all our diseases, sorrows, pains, rejections and traumas. Whatever our hurts, disappointments, despairs and failures He is one that is acquainted with them all and is there to bind up our wounds.
The word ‘bind’ is to tie up or fasten tightly. He took our wounds and will not let them go. If he has them then we don't. In every area where life has burned us and we feel there are only ashes left, we need to remember that it's never over with the Lord. Out of death He brings resurrection life. Isaiah 61:3 says: “He gives us beauty instead of ashes”. Out of the ashes of our pain God works miracles to redeem, restore and reinstate.
He can do all things, He works all things together for good and He does exceedingly and abundantly above and beyond all we dare think or even ask. He is the healer and the restore of all. He sent his word and He healed them. Whatever it is that you need healing for whether it be physically, emotionally or spiritually Jesus has already supplied your need.
Prayer: “Father I ask that You, the healer, would touch me with the power of Your spirit and make me whole. I ask for beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and the garment of praise instead of any despair.”
