Psalm 31: 15 .... My times are in your hands....
I love this scripture, the fact that my times are in His possession, in the palm of his hand. Time means to plan, schedule, or arrangement when (something) should happen or be done. The thought that God has a plan for your life is not a strange idea. Jeremiah 29 says that he has plans for you, plans to bless you, give you a hope and a future. In fact God arranges situations and orchestrates our life so we will be in the right place at the right time.
The problem often occurs when we end up in a situation that we think this can't be God! I often wonder what was going through Joseph's mind when he ended up in the bottom of a well and then again in jail. Just think of what Esther was thinking when told by Mordecai, " Do not think that because you are in the kings house you alone of all the Jews will escape. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will parish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:13-14)
God’s thoughts and ways are not ours. We think we know the "right" way but God knows the best way. When we lean not to our own understanding and trust Him to direct our paths, it can lead us into some very interesting situations. The key is faith in the Lord knowing that he has a plan and it is to bless us and show us His salvation.
Prayer: “Father, I thank you that my times are in your hands. Help me to trust you in every situation knowing that you are in control and you have me in the palm of your hand. In Jesus name, amen.”
